OUR PROGRAM

Washington Delightful Goldens began in Kettle Falls, WA as we started a young family of our own. With young children we wanted the best for them and we fell in love with golden retrievers. Now we get the privilege of sharing this wonderful line of golden retrievers with you.

A wonderful dog starts with amazing and healthy parents. The parents to the puppies, Ann and Bodie, are well loved and cared for. They are OFA certified and AKC registered. Ann is loyal, smart, and loves our children. Bodie is such a happy easy going dog, who loves the outdoors.

Our primary goal is to breed happy, healthy, loved, and well adjusted golden retriever puppies. When they are very young we begin with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS.) ENS is a series of simple exercises that are performed on young puppies to help them develop resilience, coping mechanisms, and brain development. ENS has shown to improve a puppy's cardiovascular performance, heart rate, and adrenal glands, and make them more tolerant to stress and disease. 

 

The puppies are raised with a lot of practices that are applied in a program called Puppy Culture. We work with the puppies on body handling, resource guarding, startle recovery, and problem solving activities. They are socialized with other animals and family everyday. We also introduce the puppies to potty and crate training, walking on a leash, and traveling in vehicles. A licensed veterinarian will examine the puppies, provide de-wormer, and first set of immunizations.

 

At six weeks old we will perform an aptitude test and make recommendations for future homes. At that time families and individuals will get to pick their puppy in the order we received a deposit. We are located in Kettle Falls, WA. We can also deliver two to three hours away or in the Spokane area. At eight weeks old the puppies will be ready to join their forever family!
